Terms of Use
Last updated: 11 August 2026
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of ExpatChina. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
ExpatChina is operated by 北京之恒商务服务有限公司, a company registered in Beijing, China. Contact details: [email protected].
2. Purpose of ExpatChina
ExpatChina provides practical guides, directory information and ways to ask for general help when moving to, living in, working in, doing business in or travelling in China. It is an information and connection platform, not a professional-services firm, marketplace, booking service, payment service or employer.
3. Information, not professional advice
The guides, listings and responses on ExpatChina are general information. They are not legal, tax, immigration, medical, financial, investment, insurance or other professional advice. Your circumstances may require advice from a qualified professional who is authorised to advise in the relevant location.
Do not rely on the site as the only basis for a high-stakes decision. Confirm current requirements, eligibility, prices, availability, emergency procedures and provider credentials directly with the relevant authority or provider.
4. Directory listings and provider information
Directory information may come from public or official business sources and from providers. We aim to present useful, accurate information, but details may change and can be incomplete or incorrect. A listing is not a guarantee of quality, availability, legality, suitability or safety.
Inclusion in a directory does not mean that ExpatChina endorses, recommends, certifies, employs, represents or guarantees a provider. Any decision to engage with a provider is your own. If you are a provider or rights holder and believe information should be corrected, updated or removed, contact [email protected].
5. Third-party providers and external websites
The site links to third-party providers and websites for convenience. We do not control their services, content, terms, privacy practices or availability. Your relationship with a provider or external website is separate from ExpatChina.
6. Consultation and lead-referral requests
When you submit a consultation or contact request, we use the information you provide to respond and assess the request. Submitting a form does not create a professional-client relationship, guarantee a response, guarantee a referral or guarantee any outcome.
The current ExpatChina implementation does not automatically transfer your lead to HubSpot or to a provider. If ExpatChina proposes sharing relevant details with a provider in the future, it will give a clear notice and obtain any permission required by applicable law before the transfer.
7. Add Your Business
The Add Your Business form is a request for review, not an automatic listing submission or publication tool. By submitting information, you confirm that you have authority to provide it, it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, you have the right to provide any personal information included, and you will not submit unlawful, misleading, defamatory, infringing or confidential material.
We may verify, edit, decline, remove or request clarification about a listing submission. We do not promise that a request will be published.
8. Your responsibilities and prohibited use
You must use the site lawfully and responsibly. You must not submit false, misleading, unlawful or infringing information; harass, impersonate, spam or harm another person; collect personal information for unsolicited marketing or other improper purposes; interfere with the site or bypass security controls; or use automated means to scrape or overload the site unless we have expressly permitted it in writing.
9. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, ExpatChina’s original content, visual identity and site materials are owned by or licensed to 北京之恒商务服务有限公司. You may use the site for personal, lawful and non-commercial information purposes. Do not reproduce, republish, adapt or commercially exploit material without permission, except where applicable law allows it.
10. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, remove or update parts of the site, its content or directories as the service develops. We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free or permanently available access.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, ExpatChina provides the site and its information on an “as available” basis. We do not make warranties that content, directory information, third-party services or links will be complete, current, accurate, suitable or available for your particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, 北京之恒商务服务有限公司 will not be liable for losses arising from reliance on general site information, engagement with a third-party provider, third-party websites, service unavailability or matters outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Suspension or restriction of access
We may restrict access to the site where reasonably necessary to protect users, the site, our rights, or compliance with law. We will act proportionately where the circumstances allow.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China.
The parties should first attempt to resolve any dispute amicably. If they cannot do so, the dispute may be submitted to a competent People’s Court having jurisdiction under applicable PRC law, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to you.
14. Contact
